Does anyone know if the hazy cloud of dust throughout my house harmful to young children? Just wondering. I spent the first two hours of my morning removing all the contents of my kitchen onto the bed which I was wishing I was still in. The crew showed up on time and got right to work while the boys and I ran a few errands. By the time we got home they had already pulled up all of the carpet in the family room and were ready to get to work on the tile in the entry. Which meant that I had to remove all of my crystal and china from my server. Half the battle was finding a place to put it all since most rooms of the house are part of the reno process or are already filled to the brim. The boys and I ate lunch on the train table while they got to work on the tile. It proved quite difficult to get up and was very loud. Both boys though were able to get good long naps in while they worked. Who says nap time has to be quiet? They finished around 2:30 and will be back up to finish their prep work tomorrow and hope to install on Monday. They are hoping the cabinets and walls will be finished up by then.
Toby snuck away to Home Depot while he was still home and came home with a merchandise slip for a GE stainless steel refrigerator....the biggest one Home Depot sells. He said it was a belated 30th birthday present. I said he was an amazing husband. It was installed today and fills the space so well. It also looks great with all of the other stainless appliances. I am starting on a few smaller (much smaller) renovation projects myself and hopefully will have some pics to post soon.
Congrats on the new house:) The dust from breaking up tile gets EVERYWHERE! I just took a damp rag and washed walls and whatnot with it, and it removed a lot of it. And change your air filter too. That will help!
ReplyDeleteSooo excited to watch the progress! Congrats on the new place :)
