Guest/Kids Bath Update

We will see if I can keep get this blog going again.  Over the last little while we have been slowly but surely finishing up some projects around this old house.  Awhile ago we had the granite installed and the tile done on both the shower and the floor and kind of stopped at that.  Then we decided to sand and stain the cabinets, add hardware, and add a frame around the mirror.  I love the finished look and the expense was minimal.
Everyone loves a good old "Before and After"...
I was not sad to see the shell sink go.

Toby built the frame for the mirror and I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  Loved working with it!

We did not have enough in our budget to get new cabinets so we sanded them down and added a stain to the cabinets in hopes of getting a more rustic look.  They actually turned out really nice and it adds some variation as the rest of the cabinets in the house are painted.
Our cross collection moved in here.
The tile work in the shower and shower head.  The color is a bit off here but you get the idea.
The faucet and this is a good close-up of the frame of the mirror.

What I have realized since moving in to our "fixer upper" is that it takes lots of time and patience.  I figured we would be done with the house by now and almost 3 years later we are still doing lots of work.  It takes time but it will be so much fun when it is finished.
